He's in love with her- and it's an entirely improper attachment on his part, especially by Lady Maddox's standards. However, Danny having been a Buddhist monk isn't really properly British, either. Danny isn't like other men, and he has some limitations to his prospects that his cousins and siblings do not.

Well, that certainly is a surprising turn of events.

I do have to say that I'm glad it was Danny who got to find Cassandra. I love the Maddox family, Daniel with his completely kind and pleasant demeanor, Brian with that grin I can picture, who has the "Don't kill me" look down to a science, and Danny- who helped his brother escape their home while they were under house arrest, and is always pleasant and honorable, just like his father.

Now I know Danny doesn't go around killing people, so does this mean Georgie will get to kill Hyde and Bower?

OK, I have a question. In the middle of Darcy's life being in such grave danger, where is Gregoire? Did I miss something? Or was he staying in Ireland in case Cassandra turned up there? I figured after all the times Darcy had held Gregoire's hand and pulled his feet out of the fire, Gregoire should turn up.

Does Danny's regained eyesight mean that Brian's dojo will have an instructor after all?

Gregoire is in Ireland, looking for Cassandra there. They spread out at the beginning. Also, news would take time to reach him. The telegraph still hasn't been invented and Gregoire lives out on the coast of Ireland, a good journey from Dublin.

As to the dojo, probably.
