I personally think that (besides Dr. Maddox) Inspector Audley is a fascinating character. Smart and practical yet when he fell in love with the equally fascinating Georgiana, the poor man hit it hard.
I would love to see him turn up in London during the season, on an investigation or otherwise. I can certainly see him grudgingly attend one of many events and catch sight of Georgiana.
Perhaps Georgiana and Geoffrey are sharing a dance and when it ends she turns to find Inspector Audley.
"Robert!" Georgiana squeaked inelegantly in surprise.
Geoffrey Darcy was equally surprised by Georgiana's sudden outburst of familiarity with a man he has never met. "Robert?" Geoffrey turned towards the gentleman. "You two have met before?"
"Briefly," Robert replied with ease.
Gathering her thoughts quicker than most ladies, Georgiana introduced the two men who looked decidedly like they were measuring each other out.
Yes definitely. It'll be like a romantic comedy, but without deaths and mayhem.
